Zuni artist Kenric Laiwakete hand carved this outstanding coyote fetish. The carving is made out of Labradorite and has an inlaid Turquoise heartline. Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family and is treasured for its remarkable play of color, known as labradorescence. This luminous specimen is filled with hues of blues and greys. Labradorite also has natural fracturing, giving it beauty and character in the stone. It also changes in different lighting and at different angles. (We take photos in a well lit room). The coyote is the Hunter of the West. The coyote is respected for his knowledge and survival skills, if not for his actions. The master trickster who often tricks himself. He represents humor and the ability to laugh at one’s own mistakes. This great carving would make a great addition to your Native American art or Zuni fetish collection. Signed
