Description
Zuni fetish artist Enrike Leekya comes from a family of carvers. This marvelous mole is made out of Zuni Rock (Travertine). Zuni mole fetishes amplify the connection with the earth and are the protectors of the crops. The mole is also one of the six directional fetishes and represents the Underground. Signed

Traditionally, fetishes served a ceremonial purpose for their creators and they represented animals and figures that were part of their culture. With a myriad of materials like turquoise, shell, jet, marble, serpentine, and much more, Zuni fetish carvers are able to create carvings in a style of their own.
