Zuni fetish carver, Brian Yatsattie made this fabulous bear. Hand carved out of Picasso Marble. The bear is considered Guardian of the West by the Zuni, and they represent strength, courage, and healing and protection. Signed.

Zuni fetishes are carvings made from various materials by the Zuni people. Traditionally, fetishes served a ceremonial purpose for their creators and they represented animals and figures that were part of their culture.
