The Bear symbolizes healing and strength. Zuni artist Evalena Boone hand crafted this wonderful bear fetish. The carving is made out of Serpentine with a Turquoise, Spiny Oyster, and Penn Shell bundle. (note-there is natural pitting in the stone)

Zuni fetishes are carvings made from various materials by the Zuni people. Traditionally, fetishes served a ceremonial purpose for their creators and they represented animals and figures that were part of their culture.
