The Long Hair Kachina is one of the most prominent of all Kachinas. It is in ceremonies from the Rio Grande to the Hopi Mesas. The Long Hair Kachinas’ purpose is to bring the precious gift of rain to the life-sustaining crops. They appear in a group and sing a very melodious song, which may be one of the reasons that they are such favorites.
