Navajo artist Lynn Yazzie hand carved this marvelous Thunder Kachina out of cottonwood.  Wonderful form and colors.  A great addition to your Native American art or kachina collection.  Signed

9  3/4″ tall x 3  1/4” long x 2  1/2” wide

Umtoinaqa or the Shooting Thunder Kachina acts as a policeman or guard during the Bean Dance, but is most commonly seen in the Mixed KachinaDances.  The bull roarer that he carries in his hand is used to imitate the sound of thunder.
