Navajo artist Valerie Blackie hand beaded these lovely barrettes. Great colors that compliment the design. Valerie uses tiny seed beads to create her jewelry and backs it with soft leather.

When trade beads were introduced to Native Americans, they made these colorful glass beads part of their jewelry.
