The Angwusi or Crow Kachina is usually seen teaming up with the Lizard Kachinas and the Owl Kachinas during the Soyohim Ceremany. Their main function is to keep the clowns in line. He would join the other kachinas in chastising the actions of the clown until the clowns got too far. Then, he would punish them with the whips he carries. All animals are an important part of the Hopi culture, they are believed to provide guidance, health, and protection.
