Description

Marvin Jim is one of the most innovative Navajo folk art carvers.  As a child, Marvin Jim carved his own toy trucks and people from wood, because there were no commercial toys available.  After marrying Grace Begay, who came from a family of family of weavers, wood carvers and basket makers, he was encouraged to start carving again by her.  Marvin’s creative folk art range from animals to people, all based on his culture.  Wonderfully carved hawk, made out of wood and hand painted.  Signed
