Navajo folk is non-utilitarian and non-ceremonial, but it still reflects the culture and daily life of its people. This fabulous chicken is hand made out of cottonwood and straw by Navajo artists Monty Begaye and Terra Wilson. Signed.

In recent years, wood figurines hand carved by self-taught Navajo artists have developed into Navajo Folk Art. These carvings of traditional personal images and indigenous animals are characteristic of the cultural integrity on the Navajo people.
