Description
Award winning artist, Dennis Ross started carving in 1996. Coming from a family of carvers, creating this beautiful corn girl came natural to him. Dennis collects wood roots and delicately carves each piece with precision and detail. The Navajo people believe they were created from corn and that corn remains an important aspect of Navajo life. Meticulously carved, this corn maiden is fashioned with the a great amount of detail and precision. Traditional designs on the blanket, turquoise jewelry, and her corn body, are among the wonderful characteristics of this beautiful maiden. Not to mention the alluring colors that would captivate admirers and Native American art collectors alike. Signed
