Navajo artist, Rosita Yazzie hand beaded this lovely barrette. Rosita uses tiny seed beads to create her jewelry and backs it with soft leather. Great turtle pattern that is complimented by the wonderful colors.

When trade beads were introduced to Native Americans, they made these colorful glass beads part of their jewelry. Over the years, glass beads have been used to complement traditional designs and to adorn everything from clothing to ceremonial objects.
